Halkbank will reduce interest on loans extended to tradesmen and craftsmen.
Halkbank offers a 50 – 100 percent interest discount on loans that have been made available to tradesmen and craftsmen and whose balance is transferred in 2020, and on some loans that will be extended directly to tradesmen and craftsmen in 2020.
According to the decision published in today’s issue of the Official Gazette, Halkbank’s income losses that will arise within the scope of the decision will be covered by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance from the appropriation allocated for this purpose in the relevant year budgets.
Interest exemption by decision;
- Tradesmen and Craftsmen Credit and Guarantee Cooperatives (ESKKK),
- Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen Credit and Guarantee Cooperatives Unions Central Union (TESKMOB) guarantee,
- It includes loans that were made available through Halkbank, including TRNC, without any guarantee and whose balance is transferred to 2020, and loans that will be granted in 2020.
According to this;
- 50 percent for loans that will be used in 2020 within the scope and used in previous years, the balance of which is transferred to 2020,
- A 100 percent interest discount will be applied to loans to be made available in 2020 to tradesmen and craftsmen operating in professions that are about to disappear with traditional, cultural and artistic values, and to entrepreneurial tradesmen and craftsmen who have established businesses in their own names in the last year in the relevant profession.
In addition, young entrepreneur tradesmen and craftsmen who have completed KOSGEB applied entrepreneurship training and are under the age of 30 will be able to use a loan with a 100 percent interest discount up to 100 thousand liras if they submit their projects approved by KOSGEB to the bank. However, those with loan debts whose balance is carried over to 2020 will not be able to benefit from this opportunity.
In this context, a 100 percent interest discount will be applied for loans up to 30 thousand lira granted to tradesmen and craftsmen for the purchase of machinery, equipment and fixtures, workplace modernization or to meet raw material and working capital needs, and the balance will be transferred to 2020.
