From October 2 to 3, the 12th Istanbul Fashion Conference took place at Çırağan Palace, simultaneously with the Congress of the European Apparel and Textile Confederation (EURATEX). The organizers were İHKİB, İTHİB (Association of Istanbul Textile Exporters and its Raw Materials), TGSD (Turkey Clothing Manufacturers Foundation), and TTSİS (Textile Employers’ Union).
On the first day of the conference under the theme “Better Together,” participants had the opportunity to hear about new trends and developments in the world related to sustainability, global economy, branding, technology, fashion, and global markets. On the second day of the conference, thanks to bilateral business meetings (B2B) supported by the Ministry of Trade of Turkey, manufacturers gathered with leading global clothing brands to sign new collaboration agreements.
As part of the conference, there was an exhibition by Deniz Sağdıç – “Ready-ReMade,” focusing on recycling and upcycling themes.
Many designers and well-known figures in the sector attended the conference, where LASİAD was represented by Vice President Ahmet Turan and Secretary General Şerafettin Yüzüak.
