The 12th Istanbul International Fabric Design Competition, organized under the leadership of Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters’ Association (ITHIB), took place on the evening of October 24th at Raffles Istanbul Zorlu Center Ballroom. Hosted by Öykü Serter, the competition and award ceremony began with a speech by ITHIB President İsmail Gülle. Gülle stated, ‘The state support given to design and designers has contributed 2.1% to the growth of our country’s economy through the rising exports.’
At the event, Hakan Akkaya presented a spectacular fashion show featuring fabrics designed by the final 10 contestants. Çağla Şikel, Demet Şener, and Özge Ulusoy walked the runway as the main models, and Sebiha Alganer was crowned the winner of the competition.
At the event, LASIAD was represented by the President of the Board, Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca, and Vice Presidents of the Board, Ercan Hardal and Barış Köseliören.
