The number of tablet computers to be gifted within the scope of the campaign launched by Baykar Technical Director and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of T3 Foundation Selçuk Bayraktar for students who do not have the opportunity to access distance education has reached 19 thousand.
Bayraktar said on his Twitter account, “For our gems in the four corners of our Turkey. As Baykar, we are gifting tablet computers to 5 thousand students to contribute to their distance education.” His post turned into a campaign.
The campaign grew rapidly with the participation of companies that are stakeholders of TEKNOFEST, Turkey’s first aviation, space and technology festival, and that lead the Turkish defense industry.
Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. took part in the campaign with the statement “5 thousand tablets for our youth, the guarantee of our future, are on us.”
Haluk Görgün, General Manager of ASELSAN, stated that they will support the campaign with 5 thousand tablet computers in order to “contribute to equal opportunities in education”.
ROKETSAN, HAVELSAN, TEI and STM Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret AŞ also expanded the campaign with 1000 tablet computers each.
The number of tablet computers to be gifted to students by defense industry companies reached 19 thousand.
