Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli announced that a grant of 310 million lira will be provided for 1231 projects that are eligible to receive support in the 1st group of the 6th call for applications of European Union (EU) Rural Development Program 2 (IPARD-II) supports.
In his written statement, Pakdemirli evaluated the projects that will be supported as a result of the 6th call for applications within the scope of IPARD-II.
Stating that they address rural development from a production and people-oriented perspective, Pakdemirli said that they provided a significant amount of grants through the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution (TKDK) within the scope of IPARD-II in order to prevent rural-to-urban migration, support women and young entrepreneurs, increase employment and encourage quality production. He stated that they continue to bring together investors.
Pakdemirli stated that the 1st group results of the projects that were deemed appropriate and approved within the scope of the IPARD-II 6th application call announcement published by TKDK on 8 May 2019 were announced at “www.tkdk.gov.tr” and said:
“A total of 310 million liras of grant will be provided to 1231 approved projects. Thanks to the grant, 550 million liras of investment will be made in rural areas. The process of signing grant agreements with investors regarding the approved projects has started. 876 of the projects that will receive grant support are for diversification of plant production, processing and packaging of plant products, and 169 for investments in the processing and packaging of plant products. production, processing and packaging of beekeeping and bee products, 61 craftsmanship and value-added products investments, 91 rural tourism and recreation activities investments, 2 aquaculture investments, 6 machinery park investments, 26 renewable investments. “It includes energy investment.”
