The transition period has been extended by 6 months for 2008 and later model vehicles that are engaged in transportation and are required to use tachographs.
The Regulation Amending the Regulation on Inspection and Stamping of Tachograph Devices prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force effective from January 1, 2020.
Accordingly, the obligation to replace analog or electronic tachograph devices with digital tachographs in 2008 and later model vehicles that carry out domestic transportation and are required to use tachographs has been extended until July 10. The deadline had expired on December 31, 2019.
According to data from the Ministry of Interior, approximately 350 thousand vehicles have switched to digital tachographs, while 150 thousand vehicles have not yet completed the conversion. Due to the intensity, the transition period to digital tachograph was extended by 6 months.
