970 million lira grant for rural development

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli, in his written statement, evaluated the results of the 13th stage of the said supports.

Reminding that applications made to the Agriculture and Forestry Directorates of 81 provinces to benefit from these supports ended on November 14, 2019, Pakdemirli stated that 6 thousand 591 applications were made to the provincial directorates within the scope of the project.

Pakdemirli stated that 2 thousand 783 of the applications were sent to the ministry as a result of the first evaluation and said, “The Central Evaluation Commission deemed 2 thousand 745 of these applications suitable for support. 814 million 444 thousand liras were allocated to 1063 economic investment projects deemed appropriate, and 814 million 444 thousand liras were allocated to 1682 economic infrastructure investment projects.” “We will provide a grant of 970 million 173 thousand liras for a total of 2 thousand 745 projects, of which 155 million 729 thousand liras. Thanks to these projects, we will also provide employment to 14 thousand 839 people.” he said.

Noting that grant agreements will be signed between the eligible project owners and the provincial directorates, Pakdemirli stated that the investment process will begin and the projects will be physically completed by November 15, 2020.

The statement also included projects that will benefit from the support. Accordingly, the accepted economic investment project topics and numbers are as follows:

“375 processing, packaging and storage projects of plant products, 80 processing, packaging and storage projects of animal products, 15 processing, packaging and storage projects of seafood products, 58 steel silo (storage of agricultural products) projects, 53 cold storage projects, 35 renewable energy projects greenhouses using energy, 66 renewable energy production facility projects, 10 processing, packaging and storage projects of animal and plant origin fertilizers, 371 fixed investment facility projects for cattle, sheep, turkey and goose breeding, aquaculture and cultured mushroom production.

Rural economic infrastructure investments are “10 rural tourism investments, 1659 development of farming activities, 12 handicrafts and value-added products, 1 information system investment.” was determined as .
