On Wednesday, January 31st, the Principal Abdullah Erhan Yücel, Vice Principal Tamer Mengeç, and teachers Duriye Orak, Özlem Güler, Burak Hatay from İto Kanarya Primary School, along with the Parent-Teacher Association President Emine Yaman, visited LASİAD at the association’s headquarters. LASİAD President Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca, in his speech, stated, ‘We are Non-Governmental Organizations. We work voluntarily. I always say, ‘NGOs are the alms of intelligence.’ We try to support as much as we can. Education is very valuable to us. You are very precious. I thank you endlessly.’ School Principal Abdullah Erhan Yücel expressed, ‘The Kanarya Region receives a significant influx of migration, comparable to the density in Mardin. We have about 1,000 students. We are struggling under challenging conditions. We are in a region that has been in the spotlight with terrorist incidents and actions. We are grateful for the assistance you provide.’ Treasurer İbrahim Murat Ramizoğlu and Secretary General Şerafettin Yüzüak also attended the visit.
