In addition to the import regime decision in today’s issue of the Official Gazette, the product groups for which additional customs duties are rearranged according to the decision of the President; It consists of Paraguayan tea, licorice extracts, Cocoa powder, yeasts, sauces, chewing gums, throat lozenges, halvah and Turkish delights, food products containing chocolate and cocoa, pastas, corn flakes, bread, cakes, cakes, biscuits and other bakery products.
Additional customs duty rates to be applied to the import of product groups vary between 0 percent and 20 percent depending on the country and country groups. In this context, it is envisaged that zero customs duty will be applied to some of the imports of these products from Chile, Iran, Israel and Albania. The products for which customs duty is zero include chocolate, pasta, pastry products, yeast, halva, breakfast cereals and cocoa products.
Customs duties on fresh (green) garlic, dried garlic, shelled and unshelled walnuts, fresh bananas, dried bananas, black and green tea, and snack sunflowers have been reduced.
According to the President’s Supplementary Decision to the Import Regime Decision, the customs duty of 49.5 percent on fresh (green garlic and dried garlic) has been reduced to 5 percent, on some other garlic from 19.5 percent to 2 percent, and on shelled and unshelled walnuts from 15 percent to 5 percent. It was reduced to 4.
The customs duty, which was 145.8 percent on bananas and 145 percent on green and black tea, was reduced to 7 percent.
The customs duty on snack sunflowers, which was 27 percent, was reduced to 3 percent.
Products with zero customs duty
Paraguayan tea, licorice products, cocoa powder and products, cultured yeasts, brewer’s yeasts, baking powders, chocolate, halva, boiled sweets and caramels, gummy and jelly candies, throat lozenges, cough candies, hazelnut dragees, confectionery tablets, fondant, Turkish delight. Customs duty on types of products, cakes, biscuits and bakery products, pasta and breakfast cereals has been zeroed, except for some exceptional countries.
Customs duties ranged from 5.1 percent to 94.3 percent on these products. Customs duty was applied at 0 percent (zero) on a few products.
