“On March 31, 2013, AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Aziz Babuşcu was a guest at the ‘Istanbul Meetings’ program organized by the Istanbul Inner City Group Association at Topkapı Eresin Hotel.
In addition to Chairman Babuşcu, the meeting was attended by Fatih Mayor Mustafa Demir, Istanbul Inner City Group Association President Nedim Abi, LASİAD Board Vice President Vedat Toy, LASİAD Board Member Sabri Akten, and many other invitees. During the event, Chairman Babuşcu made assessments on current issues and provided information about the election process to be held in 2014.
AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Aziz Babuşcu stated, ‘The year 2014 is an election year. It is not just any election. The year 2014 is the final stage of the struggle between the center and the periphery. The result that will emerge from this election will prepare for 2014, 2015, and the future. Therefore, the bar of 2014 should never fall below; it should be raised upwards because a proportionally small result will have much larger consequences in political terms,’ he said.
The program concluded with the Istanbul Inner City Group Association presenting a painting to AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Aziz Babuşcu for his participation.”
