Minister of Family, Labor and Social Services Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk announced that social assistance support payments for August will start tomorrow.
According to the written statement made by the Ministry, Minister Selçuk announced that social assistance payments for needy military families and their children, women whose spouses have died, those with chronic illnesses, orphans and orphans will start as of August 24.
Stating that a total of 90.1 million liras will be paid to approximately 157 thousand people in need through 5 cash social support programs, Selçuk said that they provide support of 800 liras in two-month periods, 400 liras per month to the families of needy privates and conscripts who carry out compulsory military service, and that they will deposit 16.9 million to the accounts of 24 thousand families.
284 thousand lira support for children of soldiers
Noting that they increased the monthly payment amount by 50 percent from 100 liras to 150 liras within the scope of the Aid Program for Needy Military Children, Minister Selçuk said, “We provide regular cash aid of 300 liras in 2-month periods. In this context, we will pay 284 thousand liras to one thousand 200 people in need this month.”
Minister Selçuk stated that they also support women in need of assistance whose spouses have passed away and said, “We will provide support to 89 thousand women in need with a total of 57.8 million liras.”
11.6 million lira for orphans and orphans in need
Noting that they provide 150 liras monthly support for children under the age of 18 whose parents or both parents have passed away, Minister Selçuk said that they will deposit a total of 11.6 million liras into the accounts of 39 thousand people.
Stating that they will provide 3.3 million TL support to more than 2 thousand people in need with chronic diseases, Minister Selçuk stated that Chronic Disease Assistance payments will be made as of August 25 and other payments will be made on August 24-28.
