LASIAD paid a condolence visit to the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Istanbul due to the death of Andrey Karlov, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Ankara, as a result of an armed attack in Ankara. LASIAD Chairman of the Board of Directors Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Ahmet Turan, Erdem Soylu Karabağlı, Board Member Barış Köseliören, Secretary General Şerafettin Yüzüak and Project Officer Fatih Akkoç attended the visit.
During the visit, Andrey Podelyshev, Consul of the Russian Federation in Istanbul, expressed his regret over the assassination of the Ambassador and underlined that such actions aim to damage the relations between Russia and Turkey. During the meeting, it was also stated that the relations between the two countries are strong and no event can damage this. After the visit, on behalf of LASIAD, Chairman of the Board of Directors Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca wrote a condolence message in the condolence book opened in the consulate building.
