Confidence in the economy increased by 19 percent

The economic confidence index, which has been trying to recover since May due to the coronavirus epidemic, rose to 73.5 points in June. After falling to historical levels of 51.3 in April, the economic confidence index returned from the bottom by rising to 61.7 points in May. Thus, the index, which was at its peak in nearly 2 years with 97.5 points in February before the epidemic, regained half of the sharp decline experienced in April.

While the economic confidence index was 61.7 in May, it increased by 19.1 percent to 73.5 in June. The increase in the economic confidence index resulted from the increases in consumer, real sector (manufacturing industry), service, retail trade and construction sector confidence indices.

Consumer confidence index increased by 5.2 percent compared to the previous month and reached 62.6 in June, real sector confidence index increased by 22.2 percent compared to the previous month and reached 89.8, service sector confidence index increased by 8.5 percent and reached 55.
