Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the consumer confidence index for April.
Seasonally adjusted consumer confidence index, calculated from the results of the consumer trend survey conducted in cooperation with TURKSTAT and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, decreased by 5.8 percent in April compared to the previous month. The index value, which was 58.2 in March, dropped to 54.9 in April.
The financial situation expectation index of the household decreased by 7.8 percent in the said period and became 72.5. General economic situation expectation decreased by 1.1 percent on a monthly basis in April to 74.8.
The number of unemployed expectation index decreased by 6.7 percent compared to last month and reached 53.8.
The probability of saving index decreased by 13.1 percent to 18.4.
