“The 17th Dosso Dossi Fashion Show, featuring renowned supermodel Miranda Kerr, once again delivered a memorable event. Hosting a concert by Tarkan, the event attracted approximately 5,000 textile buyers to Antalya, where they engaged in shopping while enjoying an unforgettable holiday opportunity.
Dosso Dossi Fashion Show, Turkey’s largest fashion event, continues to host globally recognized figures. Held at Expo Center between January 8-13, 2014, the Dosso Dossi Fashion Show brought vibrant days to Antalya. As in every fair, LASİAD President Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca, LASİAD Board of Directors, including Fair Committee Chairman Ercan Hardal, Magazine Committee Chairman Erdem Soylu Karabağlı, Foreign Trade and Logistics Committee Chairman Ahmet Turan, LASİAD Board Member and one of the event hosts Murat Eraslan, LASİAD President’s Private Secretary Nada İsmail, and LASİAD Project Responsible Ersin Akçay attended.
Hosting the world-famous top model Miranda Kerr, the Dosso Dossi Fashion Show showcased a spectacular runway on January 9. Kerr appeared in three outfits, presenting the new season creations of famous textile companies. Throughout the organization, which brought together approximately 150 textile companies and 5,000 textile buyers, about 50 fashion shows were held featuring 500 models.
Being one of the world’s prominent fashion events with its unique shows, Dosso Dossi Fashion Show provided a different performance while Miranda Kerr was on the runway. Pop music’s rising star, Emir, added color to the runway. Emir, who appeared on the runway before the third outfit, presented a show to the approximately five thousand people watching the fashion show, accompanied by his song “Makine.”
A MEMORABLE VISUAL SHOW
A special stage set was also prepared for Dosso Dossi Fashion Show. Emphasizing that the stage concept contributed to the talk of the town about the fashion show, Dosso Dossi Fashion Show CEO Hikmet Eraslan stated, “Dosso Dossi Fashion Show leaves a lasting impression with both the top models it brings to the runway and the stage shows it presents, closely followed by many circles.” The show was held at Antalya Expo Center, and a special runway was prepared for Miranda Kerr. The stage and its surroundings, adorned with approximately 70,000 flowers, complemented the concept of Dosso Dossi Fashion Show. Instead of a traditional runway, the stage, including fountains, showcased three different outfits from the Awoss, Delfin, and Dawn Line brands worn by the famous top model, accompanied by dozens of Turkish and foreign models.
After the fashion show, LASİAD President Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca and world-renowned top model Miranda Kerr came together. The naturalness and sincerity of the famous model were warmly received by everyone.
TARKAN CONCERT
One of the special surprises of the 17th Dosso Dossi Fashion Show was the mega-star Tarkan. Following the fashion show at Expo Center, the evening concert, attended by 5,000 people, primarily from Russia, energized the crowd. The night continued with an after-party, featuring many surprises that thrilled the guests.”
“SHE IS NOW THE ‘FASHION AGENT’
One of the surprises of the Dosso Dossi Fashion Show was Anna Chapman, nicknamed the ‘Red Agent.’ Known for being arrested in the U.S. on charges of espionage and deported to Russia, Anna Chapman, who came as a guest of Hikmet Eraslan last year and made her debut on the runway at the Dosso Dossi Fashion Show, has now embraced the textile industry. Anna Chapman has chosen fashion as her profession.
DOSSO DOSSI FASHION SHOW
Developed by businessman Hikmet Eraslan and approved by the Court of Cassation as an “original business idea,” Dosso Dossi Fashion Show is held twice a year under the concept of “Business Vacation,” in January and June. Dosso Dossi Fashion Show started in 2005 with the participation of 11 companies and 45 buyers. In its 17th edition this year, the event reached the figure of 150 companies and 5,000 buyers, bringing together textile producers, especially from Laleli, with textile buyers at the Expo Center. During the event, textile buyers from 30 different countries, mainly Russia, and 200 different cities attend. Within the scope of the show, which ended on January 13, about 500 models participated in 50 different fashion shows. Textile buyers had the opportunity to both shop and vacation in Antalya, bringing their families with them.”
