Erdogan will attend the G20 Leaders Summit

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will attend the “11th G20 Leaders Summit” to be held in Hangzhou, People’s Republic of China.

According to the statement made by the Presidential Press Center, President Erdoğan will hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of some member countries and the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) Ban Ki-mun at the summit to be held on 4-5 September 2016.

The G20 Summit is important in terms of reviewing the work carried out towards the goal of strong, sustainable, balanced and inclusive growth, which are among the main issues of the global agenda, strengthening international trade, addressing issues such as terrorism and refugee crisis, which directly affect global peace, stability and economic growth. In the statement, which was stated to be an opportunity, the following was noted:

“It is envisaged that our esteemed President will share our country’s views with the leaders of the member countries within the scope of the global agenda and the role of the G20, especially the issues mentioned at the G20 Hangzhou Summit. Within the framework of the summit, it is also planned that our esteemed President will hold bilateral meetings with some country leaders, as well as with the Secretary General of the United Nations. .”
