Excitement begins in the Champions League, where the curtain will close in Istanbul

The 2020-2021 season group matches of the UEFA Champions League, the number one organization of European football at the club level, the final of which will be hosted by Istanbul, will start tomorrow.

The first week matches in the groups of the Champions League, whose hosting rights for last season’s final were postponed to this season due to the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic, will be played tomorrow and Wednesday, October 21.

Turkey’s only representative in the Champions League, Medipol Başakşehir, will be the guest of Germany’s Leipzig team in its first match in Group H tomorrow at 22.00 CET.

The first two places in the groups will advance to the round.

The teams that will take the first two places in the 8 groups in the UEFA Champions League will have their names written in the second round.

The teams that will finish their groups in 3rd place will continue in the UEFA Europa League. In the Champions League, teams will try to advance to the final by winning the matches that will be played in a two-game elimination method starting from the last 16 rounds.

The 2020-2021 season final of the Champions League will be played at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul on May 29, 2021.
