According to a decree signed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, starting from 00.00 on Thursday, July 30 (the night connecting Wednesday to Thursday) until 07.00 on Tuesday, August 4, tolls will not be charged on the highways under the responsibility of the General Directorate General of Highways, excluding build-operate-transfer projects, and on the 15 July Martyrs’ Bridge and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge due to the Eid al-Adha holiday.
Within the scope of the same decision, starting from 00.00 on Friday, July 31 (the night connecting Thursday to Friday) until 24.00 on Monday, August 3, Başkentray and Marmaray services and public transportation services carried out by municipalities and their unions, institutions and enterprises will also be free of charge.
