Housing Price Index data for the December 2019 period was announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT).
KPI (2017=100), which is calculated to monitor the price changes excluding the quality effect by controlling the observable characteristics of houses in Turkey over time, increased by 1.41 percent compared to the previous month and reached 118.75 in December 2019.
KPI, which increased by 9.92 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, decreased by 1.71 percent in real terms in the same period. When the developments in the housing price indices of the three major cities are evaluated, an increase of 1.26 percent, 1.43 percent and 1.59 percent, respectively, was observed in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir in December compared to the previous month.
Index values increased by 3.70 percent, 10.13 percent and 10.26 percent in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, respectively, compared to the same month of the previous year.
