The Turkey Economic Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics Association (İGİAD) found the recipients of the 2017 Entrepreneurship Award. The theme of the award ceremony, held on April 26th in Istanbul at a congress center, was ‘Local and National.’ The ‘2017 Entrepreneurship Award’ was presented to Haluk Bayraktar, the General Manager of Baykar Makina, the producer of UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) and Armed UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), for their production using ‘Local and National’ capabilities in the fight against terrorism and in the Olive Branch Operation. The ceremony was attended by Istanbul Governor Vasip Şahin, Şişli District Governor İdris Akbıyık, Deputy Undersecretary of Defense Industry Celal Sami Tüfekçi, Haluk Bayraktar, the General Manager of Baykar Makina, Ayhan Karahan, the President of İGİAD, association members, representatives of NGOs, and many invited guests.
