İGİAD Turkey Business Ethics Summit ’17.

The Turkey Business Ethics Summit was organized by the Turkey Economic Enterprise and Business Ethics Association (İGİAD) at the Haliç Congress Center. The second edition of the Business Ethics Summit this year was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Işık, Şeref Oğuz, the Economy Editor of Sabah Newspaper, Süleyman Orakçıoğlu, Chairman of the Board of ORKA Holding, Mahmut Arslan, President of the HAK-İŞ Confederation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cengiz Ceylan, Faculty Member of Istanbul University Faculty of Economics, Mehmet Büyükekşi, President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), Nail Olpak, President of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), and Prof. Dr. Ömer Dinçer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Istanbul City University, as speakers. İGİAD President Ayhan Karahan, in his speech, stated: ‘Human beings can only develop themselves by producing. We draw our own path, build our own lives through our own actions and choices. Meeting our needs, solving our problems, and constructing a humane and honorable life are only possible through human productive actions in line with business ethics. As the Lebanese poet Khalil Gibran expressed, we can only erase our destiny with our sweat.’ LASIAD was represented at the summit by Vice President of the Board Ahmet Turan and Board Member Tarık Nayman.
