This Year, THE Laleli Industrialists and Businessmen Association (LASİAD) organized its traditional iftar with the theme of “brotherhood table” in Kilis. The iftar, organized in collaboration with the Kilis Governorate and Kilis Municipality, was attended by over 5,000 people from Kilis and Syria.
The iftar event, held at Kilis Republic Square and attracting intense public interest, brought together such a large crowd for the first time in Kilis. The event was attended by Kilis Governor Recep Soytürk, Kilis Mayor Mehmet Abdi Bulut, LASİAD Board President Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca, Board Vice President Muhammed Sancaktar, Vice Presidents, Board Members, and members of the Kilis provincial protocol.
Kilis Governor Recep Soytürk expressed gratitude to LASİAD and all those involved in the iftar organization.
Mayor Mehmet Abdi Bulut stated that this iftar was organized by LASİAD, supported by Kilis Municipality, and carried out under the auspices of Kilis Governorate. He expressed his gratitude, saying, “First of all, I would like to thank those who made this event possible. I thank the people of Kilis; they did not leave us alone. I sincerely thank everyone who contributed to creating this spiritually uplifting atmosphere.”
LASİAD Board President Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca, in his speech, mentioned that they established the traditional brotherhood table in Kilis today. He said, “Kilis is a magnificent city; we can see this from the situation of the people here. Being together with our Kilis brothers, sitting at the same table, is a wonderful feeling for us. I would also like to express my gratitude to the Kilis Municipality employees and businessman Abdullah Alpdağ, who played significant roles in this organization, and to the LASİAD Board.”
Following the speeches, LASİAD Board President Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca presented a vase to Governor Recep Soytürk, Mayor Mehmet Abdi Bulut, Serhat Kilis Newspaper Editor-in-Chief and businessman Abdullah Alpdağ. Mayor Mehmet Abdi Bulut also presented a plaque of gratitude to Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca.
Before the iftar, Grup Ravza performed on the stage, and after the iftar, they presented a sema (whirling dervish) show accompanied by prayers for those in attendance.
