Minister of Environment and Urbanization Murat Kurum, in his statement to AA correspondent, stated that they have implemented additional measures to support farmers within the scope of the fight against coronavirus.

Stating that the National Real Estate General Communiqué numbered 399 regarding the revenues to be collected and the remuneration revenues was published in the Official Gazette today, the Authority gave the following information about the new regulation:

“With the new communiqué we have prepared, we will postpone the sales price and installments of 2/B and agricultural lands for 3 months without applying any increase or interest. In the sales of 2/B and agricultural lands, a total of 156 million must be paid by 46 thousand 500 rights holders for the months of April, May and June. “We are postponing the lira debt amount for 3 months without applying any increase or interest and without requiring an application.”

Payments for lands used for agriculture and livestock purposes were postponed

Explaining that the payments of farmers who use the agricultural lands belonging to the Treasury for agriculture and livestock purposes have been regulated with the communiqué, the Institution said, “We are postponing the payments of farmers who use the agricultural lands belonging to the Treasury for agriculture and livestock purposes for 3 months.” said.

Stating that the grace payments for the months of April, May and June will be postponed without any increase or interest, the Institution said, “As a result of this postponement, a debt of 43 million lira arising from agricultural use will be postponed and it is expected that approximately 18 thousand farmers will benefit from this right.” made his assessment.

Minister Kurum stated that they will not apply any increase or interest on the postponed payments of farmers who use the agricultural lands belonging to the Treasury for agriculture and livestock purposes, and stated that they continue their work to support the continuity of agricultural production and to help citizens engaged in agricultural activities due to the Covid-19 epidemic to overcome this process with the least damage.

The Institution reminded that within the scope of the measures taken by the Ministry at the beginning of April, the rent payments of 51 thousand farmers for the months of April, May and June were postponed for 6 months within the scope of the project of renting the agricultural lands belonging to the Treasury at half of the premium price.

Conditions required for the right holder to benefit from the postponement

According to the said communiqué, which entered into force by being published in the Official Gazette, among the right holders, those who were notified that they must pay the down payment or sales price within three months at the latest from the date of notification regarding the sale made by the administration, those whose due date for payment is within the postponement period and those who have previously signed an installment sales contract, Those whose maturity date is within the postponement period but do not have more than two unpaid installments as of April 1, 2020, will be able to benefit from the sales price postponement.
