Internet and mobile banking make tax payments easier

As of January 1, 2020, the Revenue Administration made changes to the tax collection protocols signed with banks. Accordingly, taxes, fees, penalties and other receivables, which are monitored and collected by the tax office directorates, continue to be collected through Ziraat Bank, Halkbank, VakıfBank, Ziraat Katılım, Vakıf Katılım, Emlak Katılım and PTT, in addition to the tax office cash desks.

Collections cannot be made by banks other than these banks in cash, account, check, debit card, money transfer and EFT. However, taxes, fees and penalties, which are deemed appropriate for collection by credit card, continue to be collected by using credit cards through contracted banks.

In order for taxpayers to fulfill their tax payment obligations easily, error-free and conveniently in the new period, new developments have been put into effect to enable tax collections by the Revenue Administration and public banks authorized for collection, public participation banks and PTT.

Innovations that enable taxpayers to pay their taxes easily and quickly through all digital channels, especially internet and mobile banking applications, have begun to be used. Apart from these, taxpayers can easily pay their taxes through public bank branches.

On the other hand, the deadlines for submitting Value Added Tax, Stamp Tax and Withholding Declarations for the December 2019 period and the payment deadlines for the accruals related to these declarations will end today.
