While passenger flights, which were stopped within the scope of the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) measures in Jordan, have restarted, the first scheduled commercial passenger flight will be from Istanbul to the capital Amman.
Commercial passenger flights are starting today in the country, where all flights have been stopped since March 17, except for the return of Jordanian citizens and cargo planes.
Jordan is planned to start accepting international flights with Turkish Airlines (THY) flight code TK812, which will depart from Istanbul Airport to Queen Aliya Airport in Amman at 20.20.
Before commercial passenger flights were stopped in the country due to the epidemic, the last flight was made with THY on March 17, and with the partial relaxation of the measures, THY also organizes the first flight.
Jordan Corona Crisis Operations Room Manager Mazin al-Feraya said in a statement to local media organizations that initially, 6 planes will land at the airport daily.
Feraya stated that Turkey is among the safe countries regarding the epidemic and that a number of health measures will be taken for those arriving.
