Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca, in his meeting with the health directors of 81 provinces, said regarding COVID-19 vaccinations: “We want you to organize the vaccination of our citizens over the age of 90 at home and on-site, without bringing them to health institutions.” he said.
According to the statement made by the Ministry, Koca met with the health directors of 81 provinces via video conference and conveyed his instructions regarding the vaccination schedule.
Koca stated that 830 thousand people were reached in the vaccination campaign that started last Thursday and thanked the provincial health organizations and the healthcare professionals working in vaccination for their efforts.
Healthcare workers will be vaccinated by Wednesday
Minister Koca said, “We want to complete the vaccination of our healthcare workers as of Wednesday. Because we need to move forward by quickly following the stages within the framework of the plan prepared by our Scientific Board.” he said.
Koca pointed out that healthcare workers who cannot get vaccinated due to some exceptional circumstances such as illness can get vaccinated later in the process.

Koca stated that healthcare workers whose turn for vaccination will come again after all the steps are completed, said:
“As of tomorrow, we want to start vaccinating nursing homes, disabled people and nursing homes. It is important that we organize this organization strongly in all provinces. Let’s especially try to complete nursing homes, nursing homes and homes for the disabled by the end of the week. Health officials are invited to intervene when necessary in case of allergic and similar reactions that may occur after the on-site vaccination. The team must wait for about 1 hour.
