The loan installments of 136 thousand SMEs, who benefited from KOSGEB’s loan support program and whose payments to banks continue, in April, May and June were postponed for 3 months.
According to the statement made by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, at the cabinet meeting held via video conference method under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the measures taken within the scope of the fight against the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) and their reflections on the economy were evaluated.
Making a statement after the meeting, President Erdoğan gave the good news that they added a new one to the facilities provided for tax, insurance and loan repayments and provided SMEs with the opportunity to postpone their bank loan payments.
With the regulation announced by Erdoğan, a convenience was brought to businesses benefiting from the loan support programs implemented by KOSGEB in order to support the real sector in order to reduce the effects of the Covid-19 outbreak. The loan installments in April, May and June of the businesses whose loan payments to the banks continued were postponed for 3 months.
There are 136 thousand 255 enterprises that use loans from banks within the scope of KOSGEB’s loan support programs. The debts of these enterprises corresponding to April, May and June amount to 713 million liras.
Businesses will not pay any costs in return for the postponement. KOSGEB will also cover the financing cost arising from the postponement.

Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank also shared on his Twitter account regarding KOSGEB’s loan support program announced by President Erdoğan.
In his post, Varank wished that the support package would be beneficial for 136 thousand 255 businesses, and also included the previously announced KOSGEB measures within the scope of the fight against Covid-19.
