To do great things, first you need to have big dreams. If you are not thinking about the future or you are not creating fictions about the future in your mind, you will live in the present, but you will be dragged into uncertainties in the future. Instead of designing the development of time, you abandon yourself to the emptiness that life has brought to you. If you only live your present, you will have no idea of your future, no predictions. If you focus only on the present, you will get to where you will be instead of getting to where they want to be.
Since the first day we took office at Laleli, we have attached importance to Sunday diversity and we have kept this issue on the agenda and emphasized it constantly. No commercial region can be loaded into a single geographical Sunday and live its life in that area all the time. The variability of the world, one-dimensional life in the tides of global economic and geopolitical structures cannot apply to any cluster and group. Especially it is important that global centers such as Laleli, whose commercial intelligence exceeds international dimensions, directs fashion, produces fashion and combines it with tourism and logistics, are pioneers in this field. For this reason, we have pointed out the importance of building a wide range of commercial bridges covering all regions from Africa to the Americas, from Far Asia to the Middle East for many years. This is the only reason why we were able to get through the first painful days of the Russia-Ukraine War, which will never even come to our minds, with minimal damage. I can proudly say that the number of buyers and countries who come to Laleli for a daily purchase today includes all the countries large and small that you see when you look at the map, and our products are in great demand from all over the world. This success belongs to all of our regional companies that live in Laleli and have dedicated their lives and hearts to benefiting their country. I can safely say that there is no other fashion center in the world that has been able to integrate like this, has the accommodation capacity, tourism potential, the ability to produce and present fashion, knows global trade, has strong and quite diverse logistics opportunities, can easily offer its visitors the opportunity to shop with transportation facilities and security infrastructure. If we are aware of our strength and capacity, we can walk into the future with more confident steps and self-confidence. Although periodic troubles and global vulnerabilities make us pause, they literally can never, ever stop.
The physical renovation of Laleli, which is a project that we put forward quickly during the period when we took office at Laleli and will serve as an example for society, NGOs and public cooperation to the world, is also an element that we should focus on today from top to bottom. This project, which our companies, our association and our municipality have put into practice in a very short time by working hard, and where we have renovated every street as if by noose, has brought with it a result that makes our breasts swell in front of the guests we are hosting in Laleli today. Laleli, which is clearly ahead of its global competitors in physical terms, will use this advantage both today and for Decennials to come and will provide great benefits. From this point of view, I sincerely congratulate everyone who has contributed.
Now is the time to focus on our future, of course. We must continue our efforts continuously in order to put forward new projects that will consolidate the achievements we have put forward in the past and to be ahead in the race again. The digitalization of our region is important for us to reach new and powerful Sundays that have not been reached. A Tulip that determines the trends of the future instead of the fashion of the day will succeed in attracting buyers from all over the world in the future as in the past. In this way, our Laleli will have fulfilled its duty by making significant contributions to our country in terms of economy, employment and foreign trade. We are wholeheartedly willing to pour our mind and forehead sweat on this path. As long as our country wins, as long as the prosperity of our people increases.
On this occasion, I commemorate our martyrs who lost their lives in the Treacherous Coup Attempt of July 15 with mercy and gratitude, and express our deepest gratitude to our veterans. I greet you with respect with the hope that my Lord will not make such betrayals to our country ever again.
