Laleli is a trade center where people from Turkey, the Balkans or many different countries of the world enter into business life and thus realize their dreams. A center where people whose lives have changed completely turn their hopes into reality. Even though the identities of those who come to Laleli have constantly changed over the decades, the faith, sincerity, understanding and cooperation in the commercial atmosphere are not interrupted for a moment. In Laleli’s stylish stores designed on a global scale, professionalism and humility, business knowledge and cooperation, experience and sharing are always intertwined. This must be the basic philosophy behind our superior adaptability that carries us from the past to the future. Even though conditions change and the possibilities become difficult, there is a Laleli who always manages to add new opportunities to her business plan.
At this point today, Laleli is perhaps experiencing one of the most difficult periods in its history. Our two biggest markets, Russia and Ukraine, suddenly got into an unexpected war. This development, which no one could have predicted, led everyone first to deep surprise and then to uncertainty and anxiety. But as time went on, we began to see commercial channels find their way, just like flowing water. When Laleli’s experience and knowledge from the past were integrated with the adaptability we mentioned, closed doors began to open on a certain scale. In this context, despite the bitter and dark face of the war, the wheels of production and trade, which are indispensable for life, started to turn, at least partially. I hope that this cruel and meaningless war will end soon and our journey towards a prosperous and peaceful future that we all continue together will continue where it left off.
In this process, we never forgot our responsibility towards two friendly countries and their citizens, who made significant contributions to Laleli from past to present. We continued to be there for them in bad times as well as in good times. I would like to state that we, as LASİAD, have been on alert since the first day of the war and that our problem detection and solution development desk is actively working. As a region, we have done and are doing everything we can to accommodate our foreign guests, especially those who cannot return to their countries and have to reside in our country. We have successfully implemented the open door application in our hotels under the leadership of LASİAD, and we continue to do so. We realized once again that such solidarity is specific to nations in the world that have internalized the concept of loyalty, consider it their duty to support the oppressed, and share their pain wholeheartedly. In this context, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our valuable hotels in our region and all our friends and valuable stakeholders who support us. We have always kept our communication channels open so that both the effective work we carry out on behalf of commercial diplomacy and the events in our region can be conveyed to the public in a fluent and transparent manner. While we were monitoring the developments moment by moment, we had intense meeting traffic to ensure that Laleli was affected by this process as little as possible. At this point, we hope that the war will end as soon as possible, as it does all over the world, and we hope that these two friendly and neighboring countries will meet in a reasonable manner. We are following the process with all our strength and continuing to develop solutions to ensure that Laleli comes out of this process with the least difficulty.
On this occasion, I hope that the month of Ramadan, which we will observe this month, will bring peace, peace and prosperity to you, your family, our country and the whole world, and I wish you to stay healthy.
