LASİAD held its traditional Search Conference at Antalya Mardan Palace Hotel from December 23 to 27, 2014, with the participation of the Board of Directors, Audit, and Discipline Committee.
The conference, themed “Future Vision,” began with the opening speech of LASİAD President Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca. Eyyüpkoca expressed gratitude to all committee members for their efforts, emphasizing the effective performance of committee duties based on their activities throughout 2014. The program continued under the moderation of LASİAD Vice President Muhammed Sancaktar. LASİAD Vice Presidents presented the activities carried out by the committees over the past year, seeking feedback from participants. The conference proceeded with an informative presentation by Zerrin Yazıcı from Erguvan İletişim, focusing on more efficient and strategic marketing techniques. LASİAD President Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca then gathered opinions and suggestions regarding the plans and goals for 2015.
On the second day of the Search Conference, there was a comprehensive evaluation of the widely acclaimed III. Laleli Fashion Shopping Festival, both nationally and internationally. LASİAD Vice President and Festival Committee Chairman Muhammed Sancaktar moderated the discussion, providing an in-depth analysis of all aspects of the festival. Sancaktar stated, “We will continue to elevate the Laleli Fashion Shopping Festival, which has become a more professional and comprehensive carnival with each passing year.” He shared new projects and aspirations for the IV. Laleli Fashion Shopping Festival, scheduled for August 24-30, 2015, seeking input from participants to make the festival more appealing to a broader audience. The conference also featured a presentation by Ali Çağatay, the News Coordinator-Journalist for Bloomberg HT Television, on the impact of the Ukraine-Russia tension on the Laleli market. Çağatay discussed the effects of the embargo imposed by the European Union on Russia and advised on turning crises into opportunities. Following Çağatay’s speech, LASİAD President Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca provided an overview of the day.
The third day of the Search Conference, moderated by LASİAD Vice President Muhammed Sancaktar, began with a presentation by Ali Çağatay from Bloomberg HT Television. Çağatay discussed Turkey’s political developments and their impact on the country’s economy. Addressing the crises of 2008 and 2014, he highlighted factors strengthening the Turkish economy. Çağatay reassured that the current drop in oil prices does not negatively affect Turkey’s current account deficit and predicted a positive outlook for Turkey in 2015. After responding to questions from participants, LASİAD President Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca concluded the conference with general assessments and discussions on future actions for Laleli industrialists and businesspeople in response to international economic fluctuations. He expressed gratitude and closed the conference.
