“Children from Varto, Muş, who gained national attention as the ‘Hamurpet 11 Village Orchestra,’ flew for the first time with the support of Turkish Airlines and arrived in Istanbul. During their stay in Istanbul, various activities and a tour covering Çanakkale and Istanbul were organized for the children. The children, who participated in news and various programs on some national television channels, were hosted by LASIAD before leaving Istanbul on May 9th. LASIAD presented various gifts to the children during the reception program. LASIAD Board Chairman Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca, Vice Chairman Muhammed Sancaktar, Vice Chairmen Ercan Hardal, Erdem Soylu Karabağlı, Board Members Tarık Nayman, Rıfat Opan, and Turan Yavuz were present at the welcoming program. Later, the children departed for Muş from Atatürk Airport.”
