“LASİAD, meeting with the Commercial Attaché of Ghana, sets its new target market as Africa.
Playing a significant role in making Africa a target market in the textile industry and establishing new trade relations, LASİAD took the first steps by hosting the Commercial Attaché of Ghana. LASİAD President Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca and Board Member Tarık Nayman met with the Commercial Attaché of Ghana, John-Hawkins Asíedu, on March 19, 2015. During the meeting at LASİAD, the focus was on the new trade agreements envisaged with Ghana. Taking steps to establish mutual trade relations with Africa, which has a rich infrastructure among the world’s commercial markets, President Eyyüpkoca stated that they would start working to provide the infrastructure for this. Eyyüpkoca, under the leadership of Ghana, which has a Free Trade Agreement with 13 countries, invited representatives of these countries to Laleli. Expressing great honor in welcoming these countries to Laleli through collaborative efforts, Eyyüpkoca stated that Ghana is a very rich country in every aspect. Asíedu, mentioning that the number of textile exporters participating in the General Trade Fair held in Ghana every May is very low, invited LASİAD to their fairs, stating that they could organize joint efforts to increase the existing potential. Asíedu emphasized that LASİAD’s participation in the promotional fair held in Ankara every May with the participation of African countries would be a very positive step for the investments to be made. President Eyyüpkoca stated that they would promote Laleli in the best way at the fair to be held on May 25, 2015, this year.”
