“The meeting, which took place in a conversational atmosphere, was attended by LASİAD President Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca, along with LASİAD Vice Presidents İsmail Dark, Erdem Soylu Karabağlı, LASİAD Board Member Murat Özpehlivan, LASİAD President’s Private Secretary Nada İsmail, and the Direction Promotion Team.
During the meeting, LASİAD President Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca made assessments about the Laleli market, stating, ‘Laleli is a place where shopping is done by 57 countries worldwide, and this situation is significant. What sets our market apart from others is the fast and quality work we do. This process is long and requires effort. For example, fashion shows are not just about two models walking on the runway for 10 minutes. The festival organization we do is the result of a year-long preparation. As time goes on, we expand our range and renew our efforts.'”
“Eyyüpkoca highlighted LASİAD’s social responsibility and commercial projects, providing information to the Famous Fashion Designer about the Laleli Fashion Shopping Festival program they will organize for the third time this year and the processes involved.
“The Speed of Laleli is Unbelievable”
Hakan Akkaya inquired about the efforts made or planned for the renewal of Laleli’s image, stating, ‘One should not disregard the significant contributions of the Russian geography in the Laleli market. Today, the Russian geography is an important market for Laleli. Looking at Laleli from another perspective, the speed of production and marketing is quite good. The speed of Laleli is incredible. The Laleli market consists of people who follow fashion. The shopping festival held in Ankara could only make noise about 1/10th of the shopping festival held in Istanbul,'” he said.
Akkaya also discussed his upcoming projects, stating, “I will start working in the ready-to-wear sector. We will produce items related to the needs of every woman. Later, I plan to do something in the field of evening dresses.”
At the end of the meeting, LASİAD President Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca invited Hakan Akkaya to the 3rd Laleli Fashion Shopping Festival. Following the meeting, the Famous Fashion Designer Akkaya and the LASİAD Board evaluated the collections of leading fashion brands on the streets of Laleli.”
