LASİAD (Laleli Industrialists and Businessmen Association) visited Dr. Hayri Baraçlı, the Secretary-General of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) on December 29, 2014. The delegation included LASİAD Chairman Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca, LASİAD Vice Chairmen Ercan Çelik and Erdem Soylu Karabağlı, and LASİAD General Secretary Şerafettin Yüzüak.
During the visit, LASİAD Chairman Giyasettin Eyyüpkoca conveyed information to İBB Secretary-General Dr. Hayri Baraçlı about how the crisis between Russia and Ukraine affected the Laleli region and shared insights about the future. Eyyüpkoca then provided information about the status of their lighting project in the Laleli region. Additionally, he raised concerns and objections from Laleli residents regarding İBB’s project to allocate the upper part of Gençtürk Street as a parking area and transfer it to İSPARK (Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Parking Services). Eyyüpkoca requested the cancellation of the Gençtürk Street upper part parking project. In response, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Secretary-General Dr. Hayri Baraçlı stated, “We support your projects, and we will do whatever is necessary.”
