Success belongs to your employees. Success belongs to those who believe in it, run and struggle tirelessly for it. Success belongs to those who internalize it, internalize it and put forth everything they have to achieve it. Success is determination, effort and most importantly, success is effort from start to finish.
The Laleli Fashion and Shopping Festival, which we held for the 9th time this year after the break we took during the pandemic, resulted in productive and very valuable outcomes for our region. In addition to our participating companies meeting with many visitors at the stands, we also demonstrated the difference of Laleli with the fashion show we held on Ordu Street. Laleli, which keeps history and culture intertwined, has thus revealed a very strong promotional perspective. The shows and entertainments exhibited in different parts of Laleli throughout the festival resulted in the great satisfaction of our buyers and guests. Our festival, which proves that trade is positively affected not only by the price/product scale but also by the ability to build bridges of mutual understanding, interest, communication, interaction and friendship, has already taken its place in global fashion calendars. In particular, we have managed to break the negative impact on people of the war that has been going on for months between Russia and Ukraine. It was very valuable for us to be able to provide the opportunity for buyers coming to Laleli from these two countries, our most important commercial partners, to meet on common ground and spend time together. In this respect, our festival has fulfilled its mission, which it has undertaken from the very beginning, to bring together many factors rather than just being a show or a festival. I hope that this giant organization, which took the stage again after a two-year break, will continue to contribute to Laleli’s identity and quality for many years to come.
The IFCO – Istanbul Fashion Connection Fair, which was held for the 2nd time at the Istanbul Expo Center between 24-26 August, provided significant benefits for our region and our country. The fair, which was held in cooperation with İTO and TİM/İHKİB in a cooperation model that will set an example for Turkey, brought efficient and profitable results for all participants. IFCO Fair, where many companies from Laleli participate and add color and value, will continue to increase its contributions to our country’s fashion and brand perception every year. On this occasion, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to TİM/İHKİB President Mr. Mustafa Gültepe and İTO President Mr. Şekib Avdagiç for making great sacrifices and making great sacrifices for this valuable partnership. This fair, which is one of the best examples of the fact that there is strength in unity and that saying “We” instead of “I” will bring victories, not losses, has already managed to become one of the largest fashion organizations in the world.
As we entered the last quarter of 2022, the rising recession sounds from Europe and the USA undoubtedly made our sector companies nervous. While we are struggling with a war we never predicted earlier this year, these unexpected discourses inevitably require us to be more careful and cautious. However, let’s not forget that Turkey has the power and energy to cope with all difficulties with its strategic location, production capability and infrastructure. In particular, the fact that our country’s private sector has a dynamism that is rare in the world gives us strength and confidence to eliminate such global risks. As we always and repeatedly express, the future is ours, the future belongs to Turkey. As long as we believe in this wholeheartedly and put in the effort required to achieve the goals we have set. Then all closed doors will open by themselves, and ruined roads will stand before us. Stay healthy.
Kind regards,
