Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) President Nail Olpak, in his statement to AA correspondent, said that due to the measures taken as a result of the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic showing its effects in Turkey in March, there was an economic crisis in Turkey, as well as all over the world, especially in April and May. He stated that they experienced a decrease in activity in both the domestic market and the foreign market.

“Credit packages will provide a strong revival in our two sectors”
Nail Olpak stated that they consider it very important to provide appropriate financing conditions with housing, vehicle, social life and holiday loan packages, initiated by public banks under the leadership of the government, with the right approach to both support domestic production and revitalize the domestic market.
Olpak pointed out that after the problems experienced in both the housing market and automotive sales last year, a revival period has been entered as a result of the decline in inflation and interest rates, and said:
“Providing credit opportunities with very favorable opportunities under market conditions in these packages will provide a strong revival in these two sectors. These credit packages will be of great help in terms of enabling domestic production companies to increase their production and healing the wounds of our tourism sector, which was seriously injured during the pandemic process and is expected to have a difficult year.” “We believe that it will benefit us. We have full faith that our country’s economy, which knows how to survive all kinds of difficult conditions in the strongest way, will come out of this pandemic process in the fastest and strongest way. It is now time to continue our work at full speed by taking our precautions and adapting to the new normal life.”
