As you know, we have been working on Micro Export for a long time in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, TİM and LASİAD. Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance, Dr., who has worked hard on the project since the beginning of the process. I would like to express my endless gratitude to Nureddin Nebati, Deputy Minister of Trade Mr. Rıza Tuna Turagay and TİM President Mr. İsmail Gülle for their efforts. At this point, we aim to provide brand new gains to our region with this project that will take Laleli to a completely different track. I believe that this project, on which we have worked intensively and in detail, will add great value to Laleli’s long-standing commercial history and experience.
As a result of the great efforts and efforts, we started to export from the temporary storage area allocated for Micro Exports at the Atatürk Airport Cargo terminal as of February 15, 2020. With this project, which we will truly call a milestone in the name of Laleli, our region will reach a level worthy of its name and glory in a short time. I think that this project is very important in terms of understanding the contribution of Laleli to our country in real terms and the added value it creates both financially and economically.
As LASİAD, we have worked intensively in coordination with the progress of the project. We have been constantly striving to spread our project to the base, especially through the seminars and informational meetings we held for our regional companies. Considering that our companies need to be aware in this sense, we explained the project in detail, accompanied by professionals specialized in their field. At this point, with this project, Laleli is ready to grow and rise with all its power and energy.
Of course, it would be useful to explain the advantages that this project will provide to our region and our companies. I am sure that we will create many export champions from Laleli with this project that will bring Laleli to the center of our country in exports. In this way, our companies, which have been working with all their strength for our country for decades, will have the chance to express themselves better and receive the value they deserve for their applaudable successes. In this process where we are rapidly advancing towards the ideal of Laleli becoming a global showcase on a world scale, our region will make a big commercial move. Since the focus of the project is on the mentality of making work easier and simpler, the speed and service quality of our region will be further revitalized in this new process. Our companies that will start exporting will have the opportunity to benefit from the affordable loans offered by Eximbank to exporters and will have the chance to insure their overseas sales. With the new era, our regional companies, especially public ones, will have the opportunity to benefit from the privileges of being an exporter. Our companies will also be able to obtain a green passport depending on the export amount they realize. I believe that this project, which will completely change the structure of our region and carry Laleli into the future, will be the first steps of a commercial revolution in Laleli. With the awareness that we are stronger together, Laleli’s voice and breath will be louder, and the valuable contributions we offer to our country will be depicted in numerical terms.
Undoubtedly, every new beginning may be difficult for us at first due to the habits it breaks. However, when we read the process correctly, we can see how important this project is and how vital it is for our region. While the impact of global developments on trade is at a level that cannot be ignored, I hope that this project, which we have put forward in such a period, will bring good things to Laleli and our country. On the anniversary of the 18 March Çanakkale Victory, I wish mercy to all our martyrs who gave their lives for this country and recovery to our veterans.
