Minister of Family, Labor and Social Services Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk stated in her written statement that two additional periodic shares will be sent to the foundations upon the instructions of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, thus the resource amounting to 352 million 880 thousand 238 liras will be transferred to the foundations.
Emphasizing that the resource will be used for the needs of citizens affected by Covid-19, Minister Selçuk stated that they will be able to respond to the needs of citizens quickly and effectively by strengthening the financial possibilities of social assistance and solidarity foundations with the resource to be transferred.
Selçuk also reminded that the amount of resources transferred to foundations regularly every month was last increased from 135 million lira to 180 million lira on March 24, 2020.
The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services regularly transfers resources every month under the name of “periodic share” to the social assistance and solidarity foundations in each province and district so that they can carry out their social aid activities.
While calculating periodic shares, a fair method is followed in the distribution of shares by using 8 indicators such as current population, gross domestic product per capita and active household file.
