President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the “Mass Opening Ceremony of Hydroelectric Power Plants Commissioned by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources” held in Tokat via video conference from Vahdettin Mansion, and in his statement, he said that 583 new factories were put into service in the last 6 months.
After this statement, the opposition said, “Are 3 factories opening in one day? Where are they, let them show their location.” Criticisms were received and the issue was brought to the agenda of the Turkish Grand National Assembly through parliamentary questions. Thereupon, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank responded to the opposition’s criticism by making a statement on social media.
In his post on his Twitter account, Varank said, “In the first half of the year, 583 production facilities were licensed and put into operation only in organized industrial zones (OIZ). Memorizers who are unaware of their country can leave their keyboards and go to the fields to see the facts.” he said.
“Production appetite is strong”
He continued his message: “Investment and production appetite continues strongly in our country.” Making his evaluation, Varank also published a video containing the full list of 583 facilities opened.
