Turkey’s central government budget revenues were recorded as 68.1 billion liras and expenses as 85.4 billion liras in May.
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance announced the budget implementation results for May.
Accordingly, in May, budget revenues decreased by 4.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 68 billion 145 million liras, and budget expenditures increased by 2.2 percent, reaching 85 billion 446 million liras.
In the January-May period, budget revenues increased by 12 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 389 billion 139 million liras, and budget expenses increased by 15.7 percent, reaching 479 billion 219 million liras.
Thus, the central government budget had a deficit of 17 billion 301 million liras in May and 90 billion 80 million liras in the January-May period.
