Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Fashion and Textile Design faculty members opened an exhibition titled ‘Fashion 360 Degrees’. In the exhibition opened at the Buca Culture and Art Center in Izmir, different works from fashion to illustration, ceramics to felt will be on display until October 24.
Faculty members of a foundation university in Izmir opened an exhibition. The exhibition titled ‘Fashion 360 Degrees’, opened by professors from different countries such as Lithuania, the Netherlands and Ireland of Izmir University of Economics, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Fashion and Textile Design, will be open until October 24. Prof. Dr. Elvan Özkavruk Adanır, Head of the Department, pointed out that there are faculty members from different countries such as Lithuania, the Netherlands and Ireland, and said, “Our department intensely hosts the interaction of different cultures as our faculty members are from different countries. As a department, we look at fashion and design not from one side but from a richer perspective with the interaction of cultures and colors. With this exhibition, we wanted to explain what we do not only in fashion but also in different fields. We produced different works such as fashion, illustration, fiber art, ceramics, photography, felt sculptures, embroidery on digital printing, steampunk. We are waiting for our art lovers from Buca and Izmir to see more than 30 works of our 10 lecturers in our department.”
The exhibition consists of the works of IUE Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Fashion and Textile Design faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şölen Kipöz, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duygu Ebru Öngen Corsini, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilek Himam Er, Özge Dikkaya Göknur, Jörn Fröchlich, Angela Burns, Elif Tekcan, Duygu Kocabaş Atılgan, Jovita Kurnaz and Prof. Dr. Elvan Özkavruk Adanır.
