The elections for the presidency, Board of Directors, and Supervisory Board of the Istanbul Ready-Made Clothing Exporters’ Association (IHKIB) were held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at the Foreign Trade Complex. Mustafa Gültepe, the sole candidate in the IHKIB Board of Directors election, took over the presidency from Hikmet Tanrıverdi. Gültepe, who will serve as the president for four years, expressed his gratitude to Hikmet Tanrıverdi for his contributions to the ready-made clothing sector, saying, ‘I hope this election and the new administration will bring prosperity to our country and the ready-made clothing sector. Hopefully, we will achieve new records and quickly increase the export of the ready-made clothing sector from 18 billion dollars to 20-25 billion dollars.’
In the new IHKIB administration, Ercan Hardal, Vice President of the LASİAD Board of Directors, was re-elected, while Barış Eraslan and Mithat Samsama, both LASİAD members, were elected as new members. LASİAD President Gıyasettin Eyyüpkoca, Vice President Muhammet Sancaktar, Vice Presidents Ercan Hardal and Barış Köseliören, Board Member İsmail Dark, Treasurer İbrahim Murat Ramizoğlu, and General Secretary Şerafettin Yüzüak attended IHKIB’s regular General Assembly on behalf of LASİAD.
