National stance, national gain

The world is trying to fit the digital change, which is expected to take place in the next 10-15 years, into the past year. Individuals and businesses trying to adapt to this metaphorical system are faced with overwhelming difficulties. This new era, the rosy aspects of which have been conveyed to us, brings with it many threats. According to the new normal, everything is done from where we sit, with clothes, food and all our other needs delivered to our door with a click of a button. What a great convenience, isn’t it? However, all these processes are just the tip of the iceberg.

Trade, which is rapidly digitalizing with the pandemic, is on the verge of imposing a huge monopoly system on all players. It seems likely that many SMEs, called small and medium-sized enterprises, will leave this process with great losses. It will be very difficult to survive in this system that will swallow small fish with high-scale advertising budgets. It can be said that difficult times are ahead for businesses that want to be individually successful, especially in e-commerce. In addition, the new era may leave our country faced with a huge army of unemployed people. Locking companies that are currently trying to live under the hegemony of global search engines into the cage of predatory e-commerce giants is no different than leaving them alone with death. It is important that this system, which develops with the logic of “either surrender or die”, is designed on a more rational and win-win basis. Otherwise, companies damaged by the pandemic will be pushed into this competition trap, which will cause them to consume their resources. In order to manage this process correctly, our state must implement some measures and structural reforms. More efforts must be made to protect small businesses. It is also important for our people and our state to join hands at this stage. Because digital platforms are undoubtedly one of the most important areas where we need to take a local and national stance. In this context, it is vital that our country develops effective and effective strategies for the future. We should never forget the panic we experienced recently when we were faced with the imposition of a social networking company. In this sense, developing our own digital channels, using them widely and ensuring their use is perhaps a national cause. It is possible that the fights, conflicts and destruction of the future will take place in these areas. Here, it is necessary to monitor especially the stance of China and Russia and to follow them on a certain scale. We are members of a great country, a nation whose history is full of countless victories. In this sense, we must break out of narrow patterns and develop our own communication channels and know how to use them. In this way, it will be easier to implement and implement public regulations economically, and we will have a stronger hand in terms of our country’s cyber security. Although it is difficult to get used to and adapt, it is important for our people to make sacrifices in this sense. Global wars are now fought with information, data and social engineering methods. We have seen and continue to see this in many countries in the last twenty years. We must pay utmost attention to these processes in order for our country’s internal voice to be heard properly. Every project that seems simple, ignored, and left for tomorrow can turn into a crisis that steals our future. At this point, I would like to point out that we have to be careful and cautious. Our young population has the power to achieve anything, both in terms of engineering and software and its management. As long as we believe in them, trust them and most importantly support them. Some steps that seem small to us have such important consequences that we may only realize them decades later. Throughout the pandemic, we have seen that it is inevitable for countries without national production and national standing to become slaves. As a country, we must act with this awareness and produce our own products, from software to hardware. Most importantly, our people should show interest in these products. Let’s not forget that this is an obligation rather than a choice for us. Now or never!

Kind regards,
