Minister of Commerce Ruhsar Pekcan stated that announcements regarding registrations made by trade registry offices can now be sent electronically to the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette and published within 2 hours at the latest, thus commercial activities will accelerate.
In her written statement, Pekcan stated that the ministry’s efforts to move services to the digital environment and provide better services to business people, by taking advantage of the opportunities offered by technology, continue without interruption, in line with the ministry’s goal of establishing a fast, easy and safe commercial environment in Turkey.
Pointing out that the Central Registry System (MERSİS) within the Ministry is among the basic information systems that pioneer digital transformation in public services, Pekcan stated that MERSİS currently shares instant data and works integratedly with 45 different institutions.
Pekcan pointed out that the information needed regarding the trade registry is accessed from a single point through MERSİS, and that the system is used as an important source of verification by institutions and organizations, traders and citizens, and said, “As a result of the work carried out within the scope of the digitalization of domestic trade transactions, the scope of transactions carried out electronically through MERSİS has been expanded and “Many innovations have been achieved in cooperation with stakeholder institutions that make the lives of our citizens easier.” made his assessment.
In this context, Pekcan reminded that with the recently launched electronic document application, all documents issued by the trade registry directorates can be obtained completely electronically via MERSİS, including the payment stages, and added that a total of 40 documents, including Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Bursa trade registry directorates, are available. He stated that documents can be requested and received completely electronically at the trade registry directorate.
Announcements regarding registration will now be published electronically.
Pekcan stated that the ministry has added a new one to the services it offers to citizens within the scope of digital transformation efforts and said:
“In trade registry transactions, announcements regarding registration were sent physically (by mail or cargo) to the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette, which caused loss of cost and time. As a result of the joint work carried out with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, MERSİS and the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette Information System integration has been achieved. Accordingly, announcements regarding registrations made by trade registry offices can now be sent electronically to the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette and published within 2 hours at the latest. These announcements can be accessed through the website of the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette. Thus, commercial “The activities will accelerate. Pekcan emphasized that they will continue their work that will contribute to the digitalization of domestic trade, faster execution of commercial transactions, providing more qualified and faster services to citizens and saving on expenses.
