New mobile application for exporters from TIM

TIM, which opened the Project and Digital Transformation Office to achieve export targets, will support more than 90 thousand exporters. Announcing the Export 2020 Report, which will be a road map for exporters, TIM also prepared the report on the Sustainability Code and Labeling System for Turkish export products.

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) started 2020 with new applications to make life easier for exporters. Speaking at the Digital Transformation and Export 2020 Report introduction meeting, which is the innovations of TIM in 2020, TIM President İsmail Gülle said, “We are in a period when the indispensability of exports for the sustainability of Turkey’s economy is registered. For this reason, we have accelerated our efforts for new generation trade diplomacy in order to increase the added value and volume of our exports and accelerate entry to new markets.” Emphasizing that they started 2020 with new records, Gülle said, “We are signing important transformations that we will serve our exporters 24/7 in order to reach our 2020 export target of 190 billion dollars.

“Next generation commercial diplomacy will be a topic we focus on”

Announcing the Export 2020 Report, Gülle said: “In the report, we first analyzed Turkey and the World Economy, global trade, the performance of our exports in 2019 and expectations in 2020, opportunities and risks in the economy. One of the important topics we are especially focused on in 2020 will be the New Generation Commercial Diplomacy activities. In this context, this year we focused on the pillars of next-generation trade diplomacy, such as next-generation trade delegations, e-export, digital platforms and Turkey’s logistics centers. As a special topic in our report, like our RCA analysis last year, we examined global trends towards 2030 and the future of both trade and economic indicators. We shared in detail the countries that will import the most in 2030 and which products and sectors will be subject to more global trade in these countries. In order to increase our current export performance, we have analyzed both the main countries that Turkey competes with and the target market country and product concentration for our exporters.”

“We shaped our 2020 agenda around our ‘5G’ vision”

Stating that in addition to the analyses and forecasts in the report, they also presented TIM’s 2019 activities and 2020 agenda to the economic circles, Gülle said, “We have shaped our 2020 agenda on the axis of our 5G vision, which expresses Strong Turkey, Strong Economy, Strong Exports, Strong Human Resources and Strong Infrastructure and Export Ecosystem.” He stated that this year, they will continue nationally resonant events such as Turkey Innovation Week and Turkey Design Week and that they have entered a year in which they will restructure international events.

Fair supports and membership inquiries can be accessed with a single click

Gülle pointed out that digitalization is now a reality of the age and that trade is carried out in a digital environment, and stated that TIM is developing projects to catch up with the age and to be with exporters with the Project and Digital Transformation Office established within TIM. Gülle continued as follows: “In this context, first of all, we redesigned TIM’s website and made it easy to use, enabling exporters to perform many transactions online through our website.” In addition, exporters will now be able to create and receive the “Membership Inquiry and Verification Document”, one of the most important documents they use in customs procedures, via the website or e-government within seconds. Companies wishing to inquire about the green passport service will now be able to access information on green passport rights and the documents required to obtain a green passport in a very short time by participating in the green passport inquiry test on both the TIM website and the mobile application.

TIM Mobile Application reaches the world with a touch

With the TIM mobile application, another digital project, exporters will be able to view all export and market data for global markets, new generation target market analysis reports prepared by TIM, country information notes and other informative publications. Exporters will also be able to access all the standards and documents required to supply products to any point in the world through the digital platform that TIM works with the Turkish Standards Institute. With the Export Radar application developed for both the mobile application and the website, exporters will be able to access detailed analysis, data and graphics about their products. Exporters will also be able to find answers to their questions and problems 24/7 with the AloTIM application.

Exporters’ sustainability compliance will be ensured

TIM attaches special importance to sustainable exports in terms of both future generations and Turkey’s position in the future of the world. In this context, TIM has completed a comprehensive technical report on the Sustainability Code and Labeling System for Turkish export products. The TIM Sustainability Report provides guidance to exporters on issues such as sustainable exports, green economy, clean production technologies, and sustainability in the financial system. It is aimed for exporters to achieve cost savings and productivity gains, increase the added value of exports, and reach a manufacturing integration that prioritizes a green future.
