New record under gram

The gram price of gold finds buyers at 355 lira, which is the highest level of all time. Despite the ounce prices of gold stabilizing around 1600 dollars in the global markets in recent weeks, the increase in the dollar / TL exchange rate in the country and the demand for gold, combined with the gold prices, reached a record.

The gram price of gold, which broke the record with 350 liras last week, rose above 355 liras on the first day of the new week and renewed the record.

The gram price of gold, which started the new week with a premium, is traded at 355 lira, 1.4 percent above the previous closing, as of 11.20 am, after reaching the record level of 355.1 lira. At the same time, quarter gold is sold for 581 lira and Republic gold is sold for 2,372 lira.

The ounce price of gold is currently at 1,632 dollars, with an increase of 1 percent compared to the previous closing.

On Friday, gram gold, which gained value in parallel with the increase in the dollar exchange rate and the ounce price of gold, completed the day at 350.1 lira, with an increase of 2.0 percent compared to the previous closing.

Analysts said that the steps taken by central banks around the world to reduce the effects of the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic on the economy supported the ounce price of gold upwards.

Analysts stated that the real effective exchange rate index to be published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) will be followed today, and noted that the developments regarding the Covid-19 epidemic will be in the focus of investors.

Analysts stated that technically, $1,590 per ounce of gold is support and $1,643 is resistance, and 360 lira per gram may come to the fore.
