New Year message from Putin: “We will actively cooperate with Turkey”

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the New Year and emphasized that Russia and Turkey will continue to actively work to improve relations.

In his New Year’s message to Erdogan, Putin said Ankara and Moscow will continue their cooperation on regional and global issues.

Putin’s New Year greetings to foreign leaders were published on the Kremlin’s official website.

In his message to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Putin expressed his satisfaction with the gradual normalization of Turkish-Russian cooperation in all areas after a difficult period in Turkish-Russian relations.

“We have resumed full-scale cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian, scientific-technical and other areas. Based on the results achieved, Russia and Turkey will continue constructive joint work to develop bilateral relations, actively cooperate to solve regional and international problems in the interests of both countries and to ensure security and stability on the Eurasian continent.”
