Oil prices are falling

Oil prices declined due to concerns caused by the coronavirus outbreak.

Oil prices in international markets declined due to concerns about increasing coronavirus cases in China and the USA.

Brent oil is trading at $54.60 a barrel, down about 1 percent, and West Texas Intermediate crude is trading just below $52 on NYMEX, down 0.8 percent.

Analysts say that the number of oil and gas drillings in the USA has continued to increase in the last 8 weeks, which also puts pressure on prices.
