Signal of partial restriction on over 65s

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made statements after the cabinet meeting.

The highlights of Erdoğan’s statements are as follows:

Anyone who goes out to work instead of staying in quarantine at home, even though they know they carry the virus, both commits a legal offense and falls under a great obeisance.

The coronavirus outbreak is making itself felt all over the world. The epidemic has escalated again in the European region. Turkey is determinedly continuing its fight against the pandemic with all its means.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Turkey has been among the countries that have been shown as an example on a global scale in terms of measures and services provided to patients.

Restriction signal for over 65s

Fines for the pandemic will have to be paid before public proceedings

Inspection of cafes and restaurants will be intensified. People in isolation will be monitored more closely to ensure that they comply with the rules.

Transportation hours for citizens over the age of 65 will be limited on a provincial basis.

It will be made compulsory for the fines applied in mask and venue inspections to be paid before the procedures to be carried out in some public institutions.

Vaccine studies

Animal trials have been successfully completed in 2 out of 8 vaccine development studies. We plan to put into service in the first months of the year

We have entered a new phase in the fight against COVID-19. We are developing new strategies based on the experience gained and the distance traveled.

After a partial contraction in the second quarter, our economy is sending very strong bullish messages for the third quarter.

Developments in the Eastern Mediterranean

Those who ignore Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean and insist on imposing their own theses and maps have started to approach the diplomatic table.

As the footsteps of a great and powerful Turkey begin to be heard in a louder tone, the alarm of those who look at our country as if it were a detachment is increasing.

This nation, like a roaring flood, has broken its chains, trampled the barriers, overcome the mountains and embraced the vastness, and is marching towards its goals. Whoever is with us in this march, whoever is our companion, whoever is our friend, our brother, with whom we will share our bread and put our lives on the line when necessary. On the other hand, I would like it to be known that we will not forget anyone who ambushes us, shows hostility, or even attacks us.

We repeat once again that countries that have proven their hypocrisy and self-interest in many humanitarian crises cannot distribute rights and justice to the world.

The United Nations failed once again during the pandemic. The United Nations, which acknowledged the existence of the pandemic only weeks later, failed to make any presence in taking the necessary measures to combat the pandemic and meeting the needs.

Those who try to upset the balances of our region and the world just because of their animosity towards Turkey are preparing their own end with their own hands.

We do not want a handful of individuals who feed on tension and hostility to drag their countries into disaster for political and economic gain.

We do not lay a hand on anyone’s right, law or honor. We only want our rights, laws and achievements to be respected.
