Turkey has extended a helping hand to Spain and Italy, which are among the countries most affected by the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) and have become the epicenter of the outbreak in Europe.
Thousands of medical aid materials such as masks and clothes that provide protective measures, antibacterial liquids, and thousands of medical aid materials produced with domestic and national facilities in military factories, sewing houses and the Mechanical and Chemical Industry Institution within the Ministry of National Defense (MSB) were loaded onto a military cargo plane at Etimesgut Military Airport.
On the crates containing the supplies sent, in Italian and Spanish, Mevlana’s quote “There are many hopes behind despair. There are many suns behind the darkness.” and the phrase “With love from Turkey to the Spanish people”.
The plane carrying the aid sent by Turkey first departed from Ankara to Spain. From there, the plane will go to Italy.
